Travels

This is the area where I will be keeping the travel blogs (see below) I have written over the years.

In the year 2000, I formally created a Bucket List (Point of Order: The Nicholson/Freeman movie came out in 2007, so they copied me). I did not call it that. It was just a list of things I wanted to accomplish in my life. That list is here.

Number two on that list was to "Visit all 50 states" That goal was accomplished on September 7, 2024, when we checked into our Allen Park, MI hotel.

We spent nearly a week there. I had firm rules about ticking a state off this list, and just driving thru or touch down at an airport did not count. You needed to at least spend the night. I am proud to say that no state had only that as its admission level.

Margo and I still plan to travel as our health, time and finances allow. I plan to retire in 2030, so God willing, we will be adding to our travels.

We try to set our travel plans in advance. These are my current plans:
