Christmas Stockings-2018

We have had Christmas Stockings as part of our holiday Christmas as long as we have had kids. They have been mostly creations from Margo's sewing machine. For 2018 it was time to upgrade, as some of the stockings had disappeared, and they had been mismatched for several years anyway.

When Mom passed away in 2010, Margo inherited 100s and 100s of precut squares and yards of material. Margo thought it would be a great idea to take some of that and make quilted stockings. I said "Let's just buy them. It will be much simpler". I received both a dirty look and was ignored.

She was right. They look great. I insisted that mine be Christmas colors. Jessi loved having a standard quilt looking stocking. Pete, who played soccer all through high school, received a black and white one. There were nine in all. I was surprised at how quickly she turned them out. Then she monogramed them using her monograming machine. That just put them over the top!
